Tank Filtration

What is the best saltwater tank filtration setup?
I currently have a 20gal long sump with an asm-g1x skimmer, and a phosphate filter. Is this enough filtration for a 75gal tank?

I think so. I am running a 95 with a 20-30g sump (not sure) w/ bioballs and it's fine =D

yea Im not using bioballs. Are they filled with anything? and what section of the sump did you put them in?

not filled with anything, i have it right past the overflow plumbing

if you are just keeping fish and some soft coral it should be fine how much live rock do you have?

And what about for freshwater tanks? I am thinking about starting a freshwater tank and i have seen that some people use sumps also. Would you use a skimmer for that also?
