what kind of carbon are you useing. some are for fresh water only? how much are you running and is it getting good flow through it?? try adding a little fiber floss and see if you can clear it up.
the color u described kinda sounds like an algae outbreak i had back when i was still doin freswater..if i remember correctly it was sum kind of free floating algae stuff or sumthin..but we got sum chemical crap that cleaned it right up
do you remember what is was called,,,,the carbin I am using it saltwater and i am cutting 4 inch by 3 inch squares of carbin and sticking it in the back of my tank where the pump is at.
Don't add chemicals, do a water change and wait it out. If you think it is algea then cut back on nutrients and light. But give you filtration time to work. If you start to add chemicals to your tank you will regret it later on done the road. Be patient and by the looks of that you have less patience than me and that is saying something.
lol if the chemical idea didnt seem good to you all im sorry but its just what i did way back in my freshwater days and cleared it right up..but also fw fish are alot more forgiving
i just did a water change with RO water and it is starting to clear up,,before, the frogspawn was not looking good at all,,,but the mushroom is fine.
i will post on this thread if my tank goes foggy again.
thanks for all the help
