Tank Inhabitant questions

A while back I purchased a 42 gallon hex and have had the system up and running now for about 4 weeks. I was hoping to stock it with a dwarf lion or two, and possibly an eel of some sort (maybe a green wolf). Any other ideas/advice for other inhabitants. I am new to the aggresive fish community and am seeking advice and feedback. Any information anyone could give would be appreciated. Thanks

That tank will be perfect for a snowflake eel and yes, 2 dwarf lions, but that might be it. You could probably put in a dwarf puffer, but if u put the eel in or the dwarves, or both, then yer other options are limited with compatiblity cuz most fish that belong in that tank would get eaten, and ones that are compatbile wont all fit in that sized tank, so yer best off with the eel, 2 dwarves and a dwarf puffer.

A green wolf eel (which is not an eel, and does not make the wasteload of an eeel), a dwarf lion or two, and maybe a dwarf puffer (Hawaiin, Valentini, Blue Spot) would look great in that tank, and max it out nicely.
You really can't do any triggers, groupers, or wrasses in that size tank, plus any large puffer is out of the question as well. The four fish above would be great though.
