Tank Leak?

I have been noticing some salt creep along the bottom molding of my tank over the last few days. It has been set up since the beginning of the year, and I haven't had any problems like this before. Any ideas about how I can check if I have a leak? If I do have a leak, can I just put a small bead of silicone caulking around the bottom moulding?

wipe up the area thourally and keep your hands out of the aquarium. If he salt creap slowly appears back after a week, then you may have a problem.
Sometimes when we work on our tanks, we get water on the outside glass which leaks down to the moulding. If your tank is unlevel, of course the water is going to go to that side of your aquarium.
Good luck!

BTW, there is no possible way to silicone seal the outside rim of an aquarium. You can not also add new silicone to old silicone and expect a strong seal.
Good luck!
