After some troubles and some work here are some pics of my new tank. Just put a small clean up crew in. 120g with 105# LR. 2x250 10k MH with 4x64w PC's. 30 g sump/refug. Tell me what you think or hints on what I can do to make it nicer.

LR view. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. I am so addicted. Can't wait to get some fish and corals. But I know patience is key.

Hey thanks Blemmy Guy. From what I have seen in pics of your tank if mine gets half as nice I will be very happy. I'm an RN (registered nuisance) as well, ICU.

Cool Buzz, and thanx!! I dont think you will have any problem makin that tank into an awesome display. And it good to here from a fellow registered nuisance.
I started off in surgery, worked it for about 4 yrs, then went to Minor emergency for 4 yrs, and have been in cardiology now for 8 yrs.Keep up the good work!!!!

looks nice, can you give some specs on your sump.
what are the water levels like in the 30G sump? i'm making a 38G aquarium into a sump for my 75G MT. I'm still confused on how to put it together.
What type and how tall is your skimmer? Pump? Overflow?

Well the sump/fug was made for me by this guy Aquatic Design Habitats. If it were full would be around 45g. It's split in three, bio media-15g fug-sump with protein skimmer. One overflow flows into the fug the other into the bio media. Fug overflows and has drain to sump. Sump measurements are L30xW15xH18. ASM skimmer, Have a Sequence Dart pump gives me 2400gphr!! Probably too much pump for 75. Has dual built-in overflows. Any other questions let me know I will try to answer them for you.

Hey Buzz,
I'm starting with a much smaller tank, 37 gal (my first ever SW)...I will be following your progress and hopefully learn...that's the name of the game, right? I will be posting my progress as well. Thank you!!!

MonaLisa, thanks, post some pics of your tank as it progresses. I am keeping a bit of a journal on temps, nitrates, pH, salinity, S.G., Alk, Cal, and phos, just to plot trends and see how things go. I had a 55 reef 5 years ago but have been out of it since 01'. Things have changed a lot!! Hope to do better this time around. Good Luck on your tank as well.

Congrats on the growth. I am jealous. I can't wait to get everything I need to actually add the water in my tank.
