Tank Recomendations

Just put 100lbs of Southdown sand in (boy is it cloudy), and was hoping for an opinion:
I currently only have 30watts of flo lighting and know I need to upgrade. Should I do that now or get live rock first and cycle the tank? I have to wait between paychecks to do anything so if I can start to cure the LR while I wait to buy the lights that would be ideal.
Also how much LR would you recomend for a FOWLR? I can't afford too much.
Cheers!

I say go for the LR. The tank cycle will take at least two weeks maybe more. You will not need the better lights until you start stocking the tank. Since you are not goinf with a reef the lights will be more for looks than anything.

I agree with Rick. It is recommended to keep your lights off during a cycle anyway so, go with the LR as it will help with the cycle.
