tank set up. should i fight the algae or let it go

its been probably 50-60 days my tanks been running with no cleanup crew or anything in it. and im getting lots of algae since lights are on. its rodi water. but im wondering if i should just let it do its thing or should i fight it and clean it? i actually ordered the 100+ reef package from this site tuesday and i didnt get it yet but should i help them and clean it or eventaully they should clear the tank free of algae of glass and all? i actually turned off my lights cause its getting bad. and i wanna stop it but let me know.

Id clean it off the best I could. Is it a thin brown algae on the glass?? Start the lighting period for a few hours a day and slowly work your way up.
On a tank that new diatoms are common and should go away with age.

actually the brown is gone. i had a couple days of it... and it like disapeared.. its allll really green.. i got LONG gairs in the flow. i got on glass and sand..... but its bright green hehehe
