Tank setup-LR/LS addition

This is my plan for setting up my tank. First I was going to put 1/2 in. egg crate on the bottom of my tank. Next I was going to add 20 lbs. of extra-fine Arag-Alive to the bottom to cover just over the egg-crate. Next I was going to add my 75-80 lbs. of fully cured LR. (At most a day or two away). I will push the rock down through the sand until it is stabilized against the egg crate. Then finally I will add 40 lbs. of LS (also extra-fine) to go on top of the Arag-Alive, once I am 100 % sure the LR is fully cured. Does this sound like a good plan, or am I forgetting something???

In a new tank, it doesn't really matter if the LR is fully cured or not. It will help your cycle if it's not.

Other than that, does this sound like a good way to set-up??

I have a question, What are the eggcrates? are those the cardboard, or styrofoam crates that eggs come in or is it something only used in the aquarium industry? I guess I should already know this but I have heard of it before and never saw a definiton of them. I know the purpose it to make the rock stable but that's all I know for sure.

I have heard the plastic panels that are used for the suspended ceiling lights called "eggcrate". The plain white criss cross ones. As a mater of fact I used this "eggcrate" to create a plenum for the bottom of my 75 and 58. I don't think that putting foam under the sand would be a good idea. Never know what type of toxins it would give off when it rots. I got my "eggcrate" from the discount home improvement store Menards, but any place like Home Depot or Lowes should carry it.
