I am new to this and have been reading this forum a lot before I set up my tank. I see a lot of tanks with tangs and people posting that they should be left for large tanks. My question is what is the min size tank for tangs??

Welcome. Most tangs will require a minimum of 6 feet of swimming room. I've ready where you can have yellow tangs in smaller tanks.

Depends on who you ask.. The 6 feet thing seems pretty standerd but there are tons and tons of success stories in the 4 footers.

I am still a bit away from my first fish let alone a tang I will see how I feel about that when the time comes. Just would hate to place it in the tank and it not be happy or even die. Just doesn't seam fair.

Do some searches on here. This has been discussed many times. Gather up the info and you can make an educated decision on whether or not you should get one and what kind to get.

and perhaps dwarf angels too !
i am a newbie (90g fowlr up about 2 months) and concerned that my coral beauty does not have enough room
very active and very happy fish - but goes crazy swimming in the tank - he swims very often and very fast
lightly stocked - also have a pr of clowns , a 6 line wrasse , cc strfsh, and a cleaner shrimp
my plan is to add a kole tang - because that tang should do well in a 90g - but a little apprehensive about the idea after seeing how active the CB is for a month now
