Tank size/style thoughts

Hey All, new to hobby look to purchase my first tank. My room is 8.5ft by 10ft over slab. The tank placement will be the 8.5length. Keep in my mind short ceilings less then the norm.

Originally I could swing a 4ft long 90gallon tank but after lots of conceptualizing. The furniture just would appear massive in the space. In this respect less is more.

I have recently switched gears to rimless since I am so fascinating by the look. I don't want a frag tank but looking to do clowns and anemones and compatible mates in a shallow.. I'm currently not especially attractive to large fish.

I know things change, but thoughts on size and I'm really liking shallow tanks or the appearance of them. Any thoughts on dimensions/gallons pros and cons?

A 40 breeder is a good sized shallow tank. They are 36x18 and maybe 16" deep. Not sure if you can find them rimless. It has really good dimensions, not too big and not too small.
Depending on what you want to spend you might look at the Red Sea Reefer series of tanks. They are a bit speedy but they are beautiful rimless tanks that come with almost everything you need to start out with.
