Tank stand...with CASTORS?

Hi all - I've got a 12 gallon tank that needs a stand.
Wanted to build it myself, but then I went to IKEA and found a bunch of stuff that I could use that costs less than it would for the lumber!
Only thing is, one of my options has castors on it - it's a TV stand that can hold a LOT of weight.... I'm thinking just take the castors off?
What do you all think?

Should be ok, but IMO I wouldn't opt that way I'd just part with the cash and build me the stand I want

As long as the tank is level, it should work for a 12 gallon. I would not use castors for anything bigger as weight and stress become a big factor. You'd be suprised on what tanks weigh. For 12 gallons, it is around 100 pounds for just the water! Add the rock, sand and equipment you can top 130 to 140 pounds! That would be a very large TV.
