Those are poor products and do very little for the tank. You'd need some good activated carbon and a reactor to maximize its functionality.

Run a carbon filter but don't forget to take the carbon filter after a week or less.

my water was not cloudy but it was green. I ran carbon and had a UV Sterolizer and after a few weeks and a 15% water change every week. just my .02

Canisters would be better, but you they need maintenance more often.
