The recommended temperature for a reef or fish only tank is 72-78 degrees.
However, the average temperature of a coral reef is 82 degrees.

alright some of these temperatures are coming close to a few of the limits if corals are in the plan......
calcification rates of corals slow at about 73 degrees and stops at temperatures below 68
above 86 - 92 depending on the specific one....many corals will become stressed and expel their symbiotic algae in the process which is commonly known as bleaching........
i keep mine at 79 degrees.....but somewhere in this safe range should be fine.....
Saltwater8-where did you get that reef tank recommendation? 72-78?
