Who is good at conversion here? My tank is at a constant 26 celcius. What is that in Farenheit? Everything seems fine and looks great!

teetee, about 79
mine is about 82 or 82, just because the fish we have are warmer water, and with our lights and pumps, keeping it under 80 is a major pain, so instead of huge swings, we keep ours at about 81

Thanks fshhub,
Opps, I voted 75-76. In any case, I am quite surprised to see you folks shooting for the 80's, like 83!. I always thought marine environments prefered it cool. 83? That what I was aiming when I had a fresh water set up, but marine? Please enlighten me. TT

actually it all depends, many species of fish and inverts live in cooler waters, many in warmer waters, the oceans temp varies greatly from pole ot pole, and most fish are from any excetp the poles
and like i said, for me to keep mine at 78 is difficult, it is much easier for me to raise it to 80 or 81 to keep it more constant then to have it fluctuate, which is not as good, IMO

I thought I was the only one that went against the grain. My 34 soft coral reef stays at about 79 at night to 83 by the end of the day. I plan on keeping my new 72 gallon at 80-81 as well.

Hey,
I used to keep mine at 78-80, then I must have bumped my heater while doing some tank cleaning and it went up to 84. I noticed my elegance coral and hairy mushrooms were bigger than I'd ever seen them so I just left it there. None of my fish seem to mind so far. It's been about 3 weeks and I'm happy with the way things look.

Mines about 76 when the lights come on, and about 80 when they go out. I guess I need to install some fans.
