hey everyone. i was wondering is it a must to get something to cover ur tank? if i get a glass canopy will it effect my tanks temperature because i'm not letting air go in the tank? thx

No you don't have to cover your tank unless you have fish thst jump. If you use a glass cover it will raise your tanks temp and it could also lower your PH.

I have a glass top, but I have firefish and gobies. What can I do instead of the glass?

You can use window screen or eggcrate.

Sorry for the double post, but if you want to cover the tank you could use egg crate or what some call light diffuser

Doesn't the megaflow airate the water? This is what I was told when I bought it so they said the glass tops were fine. What do you mean by eggcrate. Being in the medical field I think of eggcrate matress type stuff but I know your not talking about that.
