I put a yellow tang into my FOWLR 58 gal with 20 gal sump tank and it is picking on my Flame hawkfish. I also have 2 Pecular clowns and 2 black clowns and 1 Diamond gobie but the tang does not bother them. I'm affraid for the flame any ideas on what to do? :help:

Stange, IMO but anything is possible. I have 3 Yellow tangs with my Flame Hawk for nearly 5 years and never a problem with them.
I can only suggest remove the one you want the least or take the chance that the aggression will stop befor its too late.

Yeah, might as well lose the tang for the usual not enough swimming room, he'll be cramped in no time. Hawkfish at least perch on the rock and don't swim much, very hardy also. That tang will just give you problem with ich and aggressiveness. I have had both, tang that died in QT due to hot weather and hawkfish that though he could fly. The tangs are beautiful but so active. Hawkfish are so funny to watch, great personality.

Tang and Flame are getting along much better since I gave Tang seaweed to entertain him all day. My LFS has a 58gal reef just like mine with 2 tangs, clowns, etc I'm very new to hobby but if I loose the tang I'll not replace it and very much enjoy the personality of the flame I swear it's like having a puppy the way he moves his tail and looks at you
