Tanks with built in sumps

I finally covinced my wife that another salt tank will bring peace and prosperity to the world. I am getting another tank for Christmas!! I currently have an 80 gal FOWLR and a 29 gal developing reef tank. Has anyone tried tanks like the SeaClear II series that has the built in filtration/sump in the back? My current tanks have sumps or refugiums below and the concept of the sump in back is appealing, I just don't know if they work. Any success or failure stories would be appreciated.

I currently have a 60gal SeaClear w/ the wet/dry on the back...I have the optional skimmer in the overflow part of the sump and have had very good success w/ my fowlr...I am considering going the opposite way as you and set up a tank w/ a sump/fuge below for my next tank though.....

I have a 125 gal system II and wish I had gotten a regular tank. With a system II you are severely limited on optional equipment. The narrow sump in the back is a royal pain to work in. I'm looking at drilling mine and going with a external sump.
