I too have the Via Aqua Multi Skimmer
I think it works well
BUT
It developed a leak around the pump
(if yours does - keep your eye on it) it did not happen at first and it is not much but ......
Solution-
pull off the pump and pull off the small rubber O-ring
then use vasaline on the O-ring to lube it up and put it back together
I believe that some of these O-rings might have dryed out either before or after assembly and lubricating them solves the problem
My LFS had problems with them leaking and they told me others had the same problem but this quick fix solved it and mine has been dry as a bone since
