Tap Water Chlorine

I called my municipality and they told me my tap water content is .02 or .03
ANyone know if this is high? Im going to try to use tap water and instant ocean for my fish only tank and maybe additive to prevent phosphate buildup.

any chlorine is high, esp. for a reef, BUT, the chlorine is not the only thing you need to be cautious of in tap water, esp in town, lots a copper and iron pipes, lead soldering, phosphates, notrates,
anybody, am i missing anything?

Addition to your list fshhub, I think silicates (something like SiO2) is an important nutrition for algea. I think the safest thing will be to use a RO system. By the way the organic concentration is an other bad thing.

Some towns are also using floride in the water supply. I'm sure a build up of that stuff is not good for your little fishy friends.

OK, so I need to buy a RO filter. Where do I start?
There's one on ---- for $50 inc. shipping from ultra pure. Is that a good starting price? 50 gallons a day should be plenty!
