Tap water to RO water problem.

I have been using a tap water for a year now and I have had no problems keeping my nitrates and nitrites down. I just switched over to RO water last week just so I can try to make my fishes a little happier. I just checked my water levels and I got a little spike in nitrites and nitrates. Everything else is normal. Is this spike normal, switching in the water. I only do 10% water changes every week. I have 125 gallon tank.

Most likely just a coincidence that it happened at the same time.
It's probably something else that caused the spike, not the water, if your new water tested fine.

Were you doing 10% weekly water changes before you switched to RO water?
