tap water vs distilled water

is distilled water better for the tank instead of tap water with detoxifier?

don't take the risk with tap water always use ro/di or distilled although distilled can sometimes be put in copper coils wich can poisen your tank

Always use RO water not tap. In tap there are too much impurites that can be harmful to your tank inhabitants.

I bought some RO recently but it is quite cold? Is it okay to add it like that
or do I need to have it warmer? With RO you still have to add prime?

I have used tap water that i leave out for 24 hours so the clorine evaporates. Never had any problems
I had a 20g Reef tank w/ hard and soft corals, inverts and fish for 2+years (untill i moved)
now i have a 45 fowlr
it really depends on your local water supply.
mine is fine, so make your own call...

But minerals and phosphates don't evaporate so its your call. I would rather be safe than sorry.
