Tax Break?

Right now I am making plans to build a house in about a year. I have two questions, my first in what is the formula for figuring the volume of a tank in gallons? My second is slightly more complicated, a friend of mine suggested that since I have an interest in fish and sharks I set up my house as a fish sanctuary and get a huge tax break. I am thinking that regardless I am going to put in at least one multi thousand tank for sharks. I don’t know what you would have to have to declare your home a saltwater fish sanctuary but I thought that I might run it by you guys and see what you thought.

I'm not sure but I belive you might need a permit just to keep an endanger species. Become a breeder and zone your new home a farm ; )

If you got some tanks together, you could sell marine fish as a part-time business, and claim all your aquariums as deductables. Heck, if Enron can do it, we can ALL do it :D

I figured out that it was in inches not feet, I also got a little bored and made a little calculator on excel. You tell it how your tank measurements in feet, meters, rods, fathoms or light years (really bored with those last three) and it tells you how many inches it is and how many gallons your tank will be. I had to zip the file cause it wouldnt let me upload it as a .xls file.
