Can you use it with the Tek lights or does it have to be with out a canopy?

Thanks....my 55 does have a glass canopy. Unfortunately, I am going to have to get the glass custom cut so that the lids raise up. As you can see from the pictures, the metal legs overhang over the glass which prohibits the glass from raising. For now though, I raise the light off of the aquarium entirely, flip the lid, then set the light back down. Once I get the glass cut though, it will work perfectly. Mine also has the shield on it and I can't tell a difference as far as light is concerned with it on or off. It is an AWESOME system man, my pictures don't do it justice. I got lucky and picked everything up for $200.
