seahorses should only really be kept in a species tank we havr tried with many fish but always ending up destroying the tank to catch the little critters and take them back to th lfs the only thing we have succeded with is one red scooter blenny which is ideal and will not pinch seahorse food as they are dumb at the best of times.

from what i have read pipe fish are the only thing you can put with sea horses. its the whole competition for food thing. with other fish they will eat all the food and the horses will go hungry.

you forgot about mandarins they can go with it and other extremely peacful fish like gobies and blennies

If you can train your horses to eat from a feeding dish it is easier to keep the fish from eating their food. I had my horses in with a royal gramma, black and white clown, and a firefish for about 4 months with no problems.

If you have CB (captive bred) horses you shouldn't add pipefish because they can introduce parasites that the horses have never been exposed too.

Well you probably won't want cold water horses I'm assuming and probably not dwarfs either.
H. Kuda is good for that size of tank and so is reidi. Kellogi seahorses get too big. THey like pairs and they like minimal water flow. You can keep them with other fish it's just not reccomended. THey are the slowest eaters i have ever seen though. They don't really go after food they just get it as it passes ime. They like temps in the 70-75 degree range. Mine seems to be pretty hardy. He was the only on that lived when my lion and trigger were dead on arrival, so. Good luck
