It makes sense to try to keep the water temp as steady as possible, but how much is really dangerous, my temp currently ranges from 79 to 83 during a hot sticky day. Will that much of a change be too dramatic to most organisms?
My normal fluctuation is only a few degrees but on some of the hotter South Florida days I do see larger swings.
IMO if the large temp fluctuations are not a daily thing then every thing should be OK.
