i have trasferred my 55 gallon to a 90 gallon. fish only. within the past week the temperature went up from 79 to 84 degrees. i live in florida and its hot but i keep the temperature down about 78. all my water levels are accurate and fine, what can i do? or is this normal and not to worry? please help

Do you have a hood or glass canopy on your tank?

glass canopy. ive kept it opened the past few days but the temperature doesnt go down past 84.

Try using fans to disperse excess heat. Is the tank in a room with a/c?

yes it is in the living room w/ ac. i have a big fan on it now. do they make a smaller fan for a 90 gallon tank?

Have the fan blowing across the surface of the water. You might want to change the time your lights come on and off for the summer. Have them come on in the evening time when the outside temp is cooler. Check the temp tonight before you go to bed and see what temp is. If you can't afford a chiller than I would raise the heater to 81 degrees so that you don't have large temp swings in your tank. I haven't run into a heat problem yet but I'm sure that there are others on here that have. Hopefully they can give you suggestions that have worked for them.
