Tenecor Acrylic Scratch Remover

I have two bad scratches in acrylic my tank. I want to remove it, but am afraid to make it worse. Has anyone ever had experience with the Tenecor kit?

I've never used the Tenecor kit, but I used the Rainbow Lifeguard kit to remove a few scratches on an acrylic tank I recently set up. The process was easy, but took a little while to progress through the various grit sizes of the sandpaper.

How deep were your scratches? Could you feel it with your fingers? Also, is it as clear as the original? Can you tell it has been worked on (does it look distorted and hazy)?
My scratches were caused when live rocks feel so it's pretty bad. It is bothering the heck out of me. Especially since its a new tank.
