test kit

I am having trouble searching the forums. Can you guys recommend some good testing supplies or kits for various parameters. Thanks in advance.

I use API(aquarium pharmaceuticals) master test kit with fair results. You still need a back-up as the chemicals can lose properties over time. I also have digital meters to test ph,calcium,salinity. And of course take a sample once a month to my LFS to make sure my test kit is stil ok. they do not charge for this service. paranoid maybe, but a safe choice.

I'm still a newb, but in other threads, the Salifert kits were highly reccomended.

+1 That seems to be the most popular by the experts on previous threads.

Elos, Salifert, and LaMotte.
API are decent for the price, but not the most accurate.
