Test Kits

I went to m LFS today and it seemed like all of their water tests were individual tests of things like nitrates, ph, etc. Can you but a complete test kit? Any suggestions?

Absolutely. I'm surprised they don't sell a basic one that tests just pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Try some online retailers. I've been happy with Aquarium Pharmaceuticals (sp?), but a lot of people on here say that Salifert is the way to go.

yup...just be aware that the ammonia test is a little off. it will detect small levels of ammonia when there is none in there. so to get a more accurate reading, you might want to purchase another test kit for ammonia only.
