Test kits

I have been having some issues with the accuracy of my test kits. I use API test kits and was wondering what types everyone here uses.

API are good for general usage. I have had problems with several RedSea test kits. If you are looking for very precise measurements, because of sensitive inhabitants like some corals, you might look at using probes or test kits which can be calibrated.

What are you testing for? I also use API. If you are just testing for PH, Ammonia, Nitrite & Nitrate then API is OK. How old is the test kit?

I was just running low on the test kits that I have and was thinking of changing to something more accurate if that is possible. But seems that API is the best for what I use so I will stay with it.

are the api tests kits innaccurate on the phosphates? how bad are they with the nitrates? not trying to highjack your thread. im getting 20 ppm for my nitrates but I was reading that someone had 20 with the api kits but tested with another kits and had 5.
