Test Run.... Noisy

I did my test run with my 65g today. Everything worked fine, except the pump seems to be noisy. Is that normal? Don't recall the brand name or GPH. Cost $140.00 I didn't think it would be that noisy? What can I do to make it more quiet? :thinking: buy a new pump... lol

It's a wet/dry. It's not in my sump...

I have made my external pump more quiet by sitting it on a piece of foam floor underlayment (is it designed to muffle vibration) and making all external connections with flexible, rather than PVC, tubing. This isolates the sump from the pump so that the vibrations don't reach the sump, which can behave like a sounding board. There is still a hum from the pump, but I got used to it.
