is it a good idea to keep test strips in a fridge?
also are pajama cardinals known to carpet surf?

its not a good idea to use test strips at all, they are notoriously unreliable. even an inexpensive liquid test kit is better in my opinion.

I don't think it matters if you keep the strips in the fridge, but as mentioned above, they aren't that good to begin with.
I do not think pajama cardinals are commonly jumpers. A buddy of mine has them in an open topped tank and they are still in there.

Salifert, seachem, api, red sea, there are a lot of options out there. I personally prefer salifert, fwiw.

I use a Hagen master test kit. It has always been reliable.

PJ Cardinals don't jump.
Api is fairly reliable for everything except calcium and sometimes ammonia.

I don't find API to be that good for phosphate either.
