Testing Equipment

So far I think I am going to go with the Salifert testing kits based on what I have heard. Can anyone tell me all the things I will need to test for? I know about nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, PH, salinity, and temperature. Is there anything else that is important?

I would test for calcium, alkalinity and phosphates too.

You will want to test magnesium also.

When you say carbon do you mean activated carbon or just carbon?
