Tests

I am having trouble. I just purchased a Red Sea Nitrate test box and its telling me that the water is good.
I had a API test and its telling me that its really high. Is there a expire date on these test when you should
just throw them away. All my fish are doing good.
Nitrite 0
PH 8.2
Amm .25
The test from API is reading 40 ppm and the Red Sea is reading 2.5 ppm on the low range.
I am confused. Thanks for any help.

what about your .25 ammonia?

That is down I have been doing water changes. Just got rid of a Engineer Goby and he was not good for my tank. Recovery from
that is a couple more water changes.
