live sand is the same thing as live rock but sand persay very good to have basicly its just cycled sand and will help in the cycleing progress and its about 100 times better than crushet coral lol Look alot better also

All right, sounds cool. Since I already have crushed coral, what's the most practical way to remove it, if I do decide to do the live sand thing. Can I siphon it out? Thanks for the help!

really it depends on what is in the tank a clean plastic cup would work fine makeing sure you wash it buy hand with hot water NO SOAP;) be carefull though adding sand to a tank can cuzz problems you got to add it right or your tank will be cloudy for days maybe even weeks and all your filters can fill with sand makes a mess of everthing just becarefull
