Thankyou Starfish

The entire time my lights were on my starfish lie seemingly dead on the bottom of my tank and about ten minutes ago the lights went of and since he has climbed across the tank and bout half way up the galss. I am extreemly happy to see he is alive but is this nomal. Is he nocturnal? Either way I am just happy to see he is alive

I'm far from an expert but to my knowledge many if not most starfish are nocturnal.
My green brittle star is far more active in the dark.
