hey i got my 165 up and running now for three months still wondering what lights to go with i was thinking on going with 2x450 10k mh what you running on that big tank??

What length and depth is your 165?
I have 3-250w DE 10000k MH
and two 160 VHO actincs.

its sixfoot long about two feet deep but i have a deep sand bed..

There are a few sticks in there also, just frags. I am testing them out; so far they are doing great.

I would IMO go with the same setup as I have on my 175.
The 250w DE put out about the same amount of light as a 400SE.

My softies and LPS are loving this much light.

yeah true i was reading on some diffrent set ups...I going to have my first stick tommorow my buddie with the 224 giving me a frag of a oregon tort..see how it does in my 45 gallon

My stick tank is kickin booty also I am getting about 1/4" of growth per week out of some.

very awsome!!!!yeah i have to get my lights going on my 165 because some of my shrooms and others are out growing my 45 gallon..Need to move some like now....lol
