yea, basically it's the same as fish... but because corals tend to be more expensive and more sensitive to water changes than do fish, many people (including myself) acclimate their corals more slowly. I have a turkey baster that I use to feed some of my corals. When acclimating a new coral, I will add 1 turkey baster of tank water to the bag containing the new coral. I'll do that every 5-10 minutes for 30 minutes. Then I dump 25%-50% of the water out of the bag (as much as I can so that there is still enough water for the coral). Then I add a baster of water to the bag every 5 minutes for 30 minutes, then dump half the water again. Then I will add 1 cup of water to the bag every 10 minutes for 30 minutes, then I add the coral to the tank.
That's just my procedure when adding delicate corals. If it's a more hardy coral, I'll shorten the process.
