Interesting. But I wonder how many of his assets are hidden. Still probably not enough to hit the big B but I bet it's substantial.

If you compare upbringing of mccartney to dre it is night and day. Dre got himself into some serious legal issues early on. Even with the rough past, no silver spoon, etc. it is almost impossible to make a billion dollars. Much less three.

As I remember McCartney had a blue collar upbringing. But again what would he be worth if the contracts back there were like they are modern day. Michael Jackson would have never owned the Beatles Catalog because Mac and Lennon would have. Not taking nothing away from Dre, He's done very well for himself.

i agree, except for one aspect. It was McCartney that showed Jackson the importance of owning music rights. Hence when the beatles rights were up for sale it created a huge rift between Jackson and McCartney since Jackson bought the rights.
McCartney originally went a different route with the beatles songs over ownership in the beginning...thus I don't think it would have happened regardless

I think the rift was when Jackson allowed Nike to use Revolution for a commercial.

Still remember the day he got arrested for reckless driving in the mall parking lot. He heard on the radio that young men's pants were half off at Sears and was rushing to get there.

Lol. I am a Jackson fan of his music and performances. The outside stuff I have been on the fence about. Nothing concrete, but just enough to make you go "hmmmmmmm".
I remember when He first thought of buying the group Boyz2Men, but he backed out when he found out it wasn't a delivery service.

He may have been talented but the boy weren't right. His early stuff was OK but not a fan of his music once he made the big time

Boy, you guy's really know your Jackson, history. :)
Music history in general. But I can't take credit for it. My wife is a walking encyclopedia of music history and gossip. Hell, she generally knows the concerts coming before they are announced.

Oh come on guys. You know you all used to own a leather jacket with the zippers and a rhinestone glove that you wore to practice your moon walking infront of the bedroom mirror just admit it.
