A couple of weeks ago I noticed green Algae??? starting to take over the back glass of my tank (I clean the other three sides every couple of days).
Now the green stuff looks like a bad case of back hair, think Austin Powers.
Today I added 5 turbo snails. Am I on the right track?
All my rock looks pretty good. Not much of the green stuff. Just purple.
Should I scrape the back glass?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Here are the tank specs (as best as I can tell you)
90 Gal Tank
Approximately 120 lbs Live Rock??? Guessing at that but the rock takes up about 50% of the total tank volume.
3" live sand
Berlin skimmer rated up to 250 gals
Only 2 fish, a yellow Damsel and a Tomato Clown
1 sea cucumber
1 very small horseshoe crab (3/4")
50 blue leg hermits (1/2")
10 Scarlet hernits (1.5" - 2.25")
4 Emerald Crabs (1.5"-2")
4 Decorator crabs (1.5")
4-5 small snails, Not sure what kind but they are about .75"
5 Turbo snails (just added today) about 1"
