The Conscientious Marine Aquarist? ???

I am looking to buy this book but when I hit Amazon, Barnes & Noble etc I see two different prices for the hardcover. Here at saltwaterfish.com it is like $33 on the web and at LFS its $55 what is the deal?

$33 on this site plus shipping. It was $43 at *****. So, $55 in hard back is probably about right.

I was going to get SWF for Dummies myself until I read the reviews of it on Amazon.com . After that, I couldn't bring myself to buy it.

There is a lot of information in that book that is incorrect.
I love the Conscientious Marine Aquarist. It is an excellent book. I highly recommend it.

The New Marine Aquirium is also good, but most people on here will say Conscientious Marine Aquarist when someone asks what book they should read.

just don't take it as the bible like everyone says it is.
look at the first published day and take it as more of a guide. there are several things that have been proven not useful.
it is the most informative beginner book out there. how sad is that.
i'd get the paperback. it has a great water-resistant laminate and the book will be splashed on anyways.

I got it for someone at Borders Bookstore. Maybe check your local store. It might be cheaper without the shipping.
