the cost

is that for all the eqipment too?
I have a little nicer 12 gallon tank I spent $170 for. It didnt come with sufficient lights, or a protein skimmer. So I actually spent about $260 for everything, and then still had to stock it.
I also have a 20 gallon where I bought everything seperate and spent about the same.
The 20 gallon is just a glass aquarium. no special brand, or anything.
I would recommend looking on craigs list.
a lot of people sell complete set ups for cheap.

because I moved shortly after, and left my tank to my mom.
so it all went to hell. I totally made a thread about it.
Maybe one day I'll buy one. I think theyre pretty awesome looking.
For now I have to work on my 20 gal, and then set up my 12.

Just an FYI that I set up (2) 12 gallon Nanocubes for about $350 each. Cut some corners (or be able to spend less than $100 on LR) and you could do it within your budget.

You could get a smaller biocube with that, but once you start to get all of the equipment that goes along with fish husbandry not to mention live rock (ain't cheap) live sand, etc you will soon be well over budget. The bad thing about this hobby is it gets you hooked and it ain't cheap...especially decent corals and fish.
