i ordered one at my LFS today for my 30 galleon and i wanted to know what everyone that had one thought of them. Are they quite? and how well do they work?

I am hoping someone can help me with my CPR and sump question.
I was told to get a water pump that pumps 400 gph.
I think it's overkill for me.
Water params are:
Salanity 1.026
PH. 8.4
Ammon 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Loaded everything I needed to get the sump working. The one prioblem I have is that the intake is pumping faster than the outflow hose.
Does it sound like the water pump I bought is pumping out water too fast for the water coming in?
Itpumps up to 500 gallons per hour. It works great, just not sure if the water pump I bought is too powerful.
