The day I have not been looking forward too.

Well it finally happened, the pump/powerhead on my filtration system finally broke and since my tanks is a off-brand it is unlikely I will be able to find a suitable replacement, but I am going to town and see what I can find. Not sure what my best option is going to be if I can't get it working again.
I have a second nano with a yellow-tailed damsel, I could transfer my livestock into that tank, but I doubt the clowns in my broken tank are going to get along with the damsel and being a damsel he will be impossible to get out and return to the LFS.
I also have a ongoing problem with sundial snails in the broken tank, so I am not really wanting to transfer any of my corals over to the second nano since it does not have this pest.
Third option is just taking the tank down and returning my livestock to the LFS, but I have had my clowns for a while and I would hate to get rid of them.
I have considered getting another nano, but I would need to move the broken one and then start it and let it cycle and without any filtration I doubt my livestock will last that long.
Meh.......needed to vent, I know I am pretty much between a rock and a hard spot.
Fishtaco(why does this stuff happen right before Christmas)

What type of system is it? Maybe we can find something for you.
It's a Pacific Coast 15.5 gallon nano. I got it for 99.00 dollars. I don't think I have seen anyone else post about having this brand and the LFS I bought it from has since shut-down. I should have known better than to buy a off-brand, but it was super cheap and has worked well for 2 years.

I don’t know anything about nano tanks, however I have seen at a few pet stores those all in one tanks even *****. I may not buy a fish from them but equipment sure.
I don’t think I have seen anything as small but nearly and by adding a little bit more water it wouldn’t have to cycle, it would be like a big water change.
Anyway, I was just trying to help...What an awful thing to happen, I hope you find a solution.

Can you post us a pic of the powerhead/pump in question? Make and model perhaps.
I know it's a silly question but is it broke, broke...or did it just stop working? I've had powerheads get stuck before by something as simple as a small piece of string getting wrapped up around the impeller before. Easy fix if that's the case. Just currious.

Why don't you just get another Nano, and just transfer what you want to the new one including water, you shouldn't have problem with cycling, your nitrates may raise some, just have some standby water ready..just in case..I transferred from a 75 gallon to 125 gallon and everything sat for a couple days I had a slight rise in nitrates but not a complete recycle..

Okay it turns out we deal with one of their distributors. Please let me know what part you need and I will see if we can get it for you.

Thanks for the offer of help, that is very cool. Fortunately I was able to go to our new LFS and they had a great selection of pumps/powerheads and I was able to adapt a hydor Pico evo.mag power head to work. It is now hooked-up a little different, but flowing better than it was with the old set-up. One good thing is that since I have two of these tanks, when the other one fails I will know exactly how to fix it.
