The dif between cured and uncured LR?

Uncured still has all the die off on it from being out of the water and cured doesn't. If you put uncured in your tank it will spike the ammonia.

Pretty much. I would argue that most rock you get is 'uncured' by the time you get it to your house, run each batch of rock through a cycle in a rubbermaid container w/ saltwater a powerhead and a heater before putting it into your tank.
If your tank isn't established then don't worry about it, just plop the stuff in and use it for your cycle.

Agreed with above. Just be careful...a lot of companies selling "pre-cured" just to confuse you more. Anyway, whatever type of rock you get, place in rubbermaid with powerhead and heater, do frequent water changes and when it smells clean "like the sea" it's okay to put in your tank.
If your tank is already established, try not to put to much rock in at once, it may cause a mini-cycle.

well it is a new tank and im gona start cycling it this weekend so ill just try to add it all in during the cycleing phase thx
