The end of an era

Thats it, I sold my old motorcycle about an hour ago. I had a 1977 Honda CB750K with just over 16,000 miles on it. I hadnt been riding it for the past 2 seasons and it was just sitting and rotting away in my garage. My wife and I have a number of upcoming home projects on the horizon and I really needed every extra dollar I could come up with. So, I let it go for $400. I listed it on craigslist last night and by this morning I had about 10 emails about it. Makes me think I should have asked for more money.
I got the bike the summer after my 18th birthday so I am kinda feeling that I just sold away a part of my youth. Hopefully I'll be able to get a new one in a few years.
These pics make it look like its in better shape than it actually is. Its got some rust and really doesnt run all that well, but it was my first and only bike...

always sad to sell the first bike. mine was a honda too, but not the classic yours was, and nor was it in my possession for that sort of time frame. 18K miles, seems like you barely touched it in that time, if you love bikes tho, a new one is around the corner when the dust settles! good luck with everything and post up the new scoot when it's time.

It sort of runs. I had it tuned up 2 years ago after having it sit in my parents shed for about 5 years without running. The guy that tuned it for me had to dig mouse nests out of each of the 4 carbs, thats how long it sat for. Even after that tune up it never ran as good as it did years ago when I first got it. Now, it will turn over after leaning on the ignition for 10 seconds or so but it it idles very rough and stalls at the drop of a hat. I didnt trust it to ride further than around the block but I also didnt want to put any more money into it, which is why I decided to let it go.
