of my tank!
I finaly buckled down and took some pics. they suck, i know. sorry the pics are so bad, my camera happens to be horrible, but i got it for free. My friend and i were mountain biking and he spilt gatorade on it, the video part no longer worked, but the picture did, so when he got a new one, he gave me this one.
here are some specs:
40 breeder
150 watt HQI MH
2X65 watt PC actinic
coralife super skimmer 65 (once i get my 25 gallon sump and refugium up, im ordering an ETSS reef devil)
red sea wavemaster pro w/ 3X1200 MJs and one 1200 MJ mod
simple tetra tec HOB filter for carbon and phosban use
like 40 pounds of ls
95 pounds of lr
BTA
sps
lps
softies
zoos
mushrooms
snails
hermits
CBS
pair of ocellarus clowns (which i am TRYING to get to mate, but the sump and new skimmer will help)
target mandarin dragonette
and i think that is about it?
Oh yeah, and im 17 and this tank is also completly self funded
Here are just a few, maybe i will take some of my fowlr tonight. The pics are blurry and bad quality, but if you want a close up or an ID on something hard to make out, just ask

And i wanted to say thanks to everyone here

thanks murph! that means a lot coming from you
yeah, xenia does love it. i got a TON of it from my reef club president when he took down his frag tank, he was giving away tons and tons of stuff for free. well, i got first dibs since i responded first (it DOES pay off to spend all yoru time on sites like this) and i got tons of xenia and monti digi, but the digis had monti eating nudis, so i only have part of a frag left, but it is coloring up nicely and growing quickly. But the xenia grows very nicely.

Then i have two globs of anthillia that i got form my friend when my clowns were hosting my macro algae when there was more. It eventualy grew from one side to the anthillia so they moved over there. But it was growing too fast and smothered some realy nice eagle eye zoos, so i moved it to the back awith the others, but a patch still remained where the clowns live at night.

How long has the tank been up? That is a beauty. Speachless. Very healthy looking and what kind of commitment does it take to keep it balanced?

funny is HARDLEY the word..... here is a list of all the things in there they could have hosted before they went to the anthillia
-large (12-15 head) frogspawn
-5 inche hammer
-a small BTA
-many hairy mushrooms
-a giant WAD of xenia
-a large piece of anthillia (about 6X3 inches and constantly growing)
-a forreest of kenyan trees
but nope, they wanted to make me sad. lol. I jsut directed the growth of the macro so it grew into the antillia, and as they followed it closer and closer, they finaly went in it, so i removed it and put it all in the back

aww, thanks! that means a lot :happyfish THIS one has been set up since april of 05. ive been doing SW tanks since jan of 05.
and it does take a lot of comitment and money. a small library salery can actualy go a long way. But lets jsut say, i have a jelous gf. Haha, She teases me all the time, and would beomce annoyed sometimes, that is until i showed her pics of Oceana's baby clownfish (and told her im trying to get mine to do the same), now she is constantly BEGGING me and always asking when i will get the "babby nemos". So she has finaly approved. But it ell you what, im running out of time, she is going to college is early september!!! :scared: (PS: thanks Oceana
) haha
i wish the pics were nicer, but it is still fun seeing what other peole think and seeing what they think i could do

maybe you should too. THIS type of "premire" is spelt "p-r-e-m-i-e-r-E" because it is not the first in performance or status, but the first public viewing.

Looks great. I know the feeling of having a lot of things clowns won't host and still haven't hosted anything except for the sand.
My list:
Hairy Mushrooms
Huge Frogspawn
Hammer
Tongue Coral
