The new advertisements with audio on this site...

...are enough to drive me nuts. The ad's themselves didn't bother me much before, but now that every time I click on a new thread or forum I have to mute the ads it has really gotten to me. I can't even turn my iTunes up because it turns up the ads. It's really quite offensive. This is something that will make me leave this forum and start frequenting some other site that doesn't feel the need to bombard me with audible commercials. I haven't done that yet because, slow as it may be, I like the small community we have here despite it's quirks.

I'm on a MacBook Pro, if that helps at all. I've been on the site for about 15 minutes so far and looked at several different threads and luckily I haven't had any of those ads so I'm hoping that last night was a fluke.

I use Simple AdBlock on all my computers....never see any ads

I have been using crome lately and do see the ads, but have not heard any audio ads.

Well, I haven't been on the site for a few days. The day after I started this thread I didn't notice any audio ads, but today I logged on to update a thread and within 30 seconds an ad came blaring through my home audio speakers. This is really lame of SWF.com. I don't mind the regular ads since the site has to make money, but to be bombarded with them like that is disgusting. I'm pretty turned off to the site right now. If I were a guest here and had to deal with them, I wouldn't bother. Even now I have to restrict my use of this site. This is really disappointing. I know it's just a matter of turning down the speakers, but the fact of the matter is that I shouldn't have to do that.
