i haven't seen it although i have heard it is a great movie........another one that i honestly loved was Brokeback Mountain. A lot of men won't watch that one either (for obvious reasons, no jokes), but it was absolutely fantastic. I cried and I laughed at it.

It's about a rich girl that falls in love with a farm boy. I feel it had a pretty good plot. They did a great job of relaying how unbridled their love was. Rent it. Worth the $3.99

I thought is was a great movie! Did I cry...
My wife says I'm kinda sappy that way, says it makes me sensitive...
Another great movie that's worth the rent is "P.S. I Love You" For the sensitive side of you, of course!

Oh man, I don't ever want to see the "P.S. I Love You" movie. It's so terrible because the guy is dead, and he's never coming back... but she continues to fall deeper in love with him all throughout the film. It's one of those 'impending doom of love' movies. No thanks, too over the edge for me.
I already had to watch die hard after The Notebook, just because i needed to redeem a little of my manliness on the inside. I'd have to watch James Bond films for an entire week to have the same effect if I saw "P.S. I Love You."
OR, I could just be overreacting..... nahhh.
j/k

It was kinda a different movie in the fact that he knew he was dieing, and planned out all of those letters to her, to help her through the grieving process, I think. To help her move on. I think he was lucky in that fact. Not that he died of course, but that he helped his wife move through the grieving process.
Where as the Note Book was kinda for the guy to move through the grieving of loosing his wife to , I think one of the cruler diseases of alshiemer. Man I don't want that crap. I think it also helped him remember back through their life of love.
Please, if you ever meet my wife, don't tell her I think like this... It will sentence me to a life time of sad, sad, movies.

we dvr'd it and watched it earlier this afternoon - cried like babies at the end .
i had a romance i married later in life. i was 14 he was turning 18 and graduating so i lied to my folks about his age. we went out till my parents found out. they made us quit seeing each other . we were best friends for 14 years ,then got married. i found out he m0lested my daughters now he is in prison - then i fell in love with tobin and he died of cancer. those kinds of movies definatly belong in the fiction section
