The Oldest Fish

Especially for you old "salt dogs", what's the oldest fish you have in your tank or have ever kept. My original salt tank had a domino damsel in it that was the first fish (circa 1991). My neighbor eventually bought the tank and all the fish. I spoke to her several years ago and she told me that same domino was still alive. It had to be pushing 7 or 8 years old at that time. I had no idea they could live that long.
So what's your oldest??

My oldest fish is a 3 year old ocellaris clown. I hear that clowns can live up to 20 years in captivity and since they are related to damsels I am not suprised your domino has lasted this long. The one domino I had was so mean I don't think even old age could take him out. :D

my wife had some fw goldfish for about 8 years when we met.
Does 8 years of continuous fish from an original pair count? even if they were descendants?
Other than that had some damsels last for about 4 years, and only have 8 months on my current salt.

How about a turtle instead? I got dimestore turtle when I was 5. My mother took over caring for it, and eventually moved it outside to a big kiddie pool where it lived on a rock for years, eating lettuce and cocktail shrimp when it wasn't hibernating. 20 years later, a guy came to take a beehive out of one of the trees and looked down and saw the turtle. Turns out he was a turtle enthusiast, had a dedicated turtle pond at home, and had never seen a little dimestore turtle grown out to such a spectacular specimen. He offered to take it if ever she wanted to get rid of it. She called him the next day. That was 10 years ago, and I like to think that good old "Turtle" (yes, 20 years and that was the best name we had for him) is still swimming around in his turtle retirement pond living as the oldest dimestore turtle ever.

I had a pirahna for about 13 years until I put him to sleep do to financial and legal reasons. I think that is quite a bit longer than their natural life expectancy.
